October 2014-Brown County

Thank you Keith for two years of fast meetings so we could enjoy the rest of the campout!
Jean Rutter and Mary Brown.  I'll bet there was a quilt pattern in the book they are looking at.

Jean Brooks and Jean Cook reviewing another pattern.

Pat brought most of her scraps and before the weekend was over there were lots of pieces ready to make scrap quilts.

A rainy start to the week but Mary got the building for us to use.   Another benefit of weekday campouts.
The boys playing cards.  Phase 10.  I understand Mel brought the cards and Mel won the hand.  Hummmm!

Opps, looks like Keith is reaching into his pocket.  Was their wagering going on at this table????  Probably not but a good caption

After dinner at the Four Seasons.  With all these jackets there are still lots of smiles.  Surely none in this group was joking around or anything!

Passing the gavel.

Meeting in the Brown Co. Building.

Craft day kept many busy.  Stuffing lint in egg cartons was the first step in the fire starter craft.

Really, this is hard work.  Pour on the wax, and pack more lint in, and keep on going.

Wow!  still stuffing and poking.  Jean Cook is the master fire starter and teacher.

Debbie brought the stove!

Oh so many egg cartons.....

Jean Brooks and her flower leaves!  Centerpiece Ta Dah!

Resting that new knee!  Way to go!

Whew!  Time for a bit od conversation!

Yarn, glue, beads, corks, etc., etc.  Takes a lot of things to make scare crows.

In progress.  Look at the camera and "smile".

Three canopies and the awning.  Comfy!

Ladies stopped at Historic Broadway Hotel & Tavern on Broadway in Madison after visiting Margie's Country Store.

Annex room where we ate.  The air conditioners were working a bit too much for us.

Super Moon through the tree cover with just the cell phone.

Men's side of the campfire ring.

Okay, I've baggd al I can at the moment.

Snacking healthy.

Is that rain drops we feel after just putting our covers up for the day.

Downtown lunch crown on Saturday.

Becky's table topper.  Now someone just has to finish this topper.

Back to the Hotel for brunch on Sunday.

More eating area at the Downtown Hotel.

Rita and Bob-surprised by the cake and ice cream.

More Saturday lunch folks.

Looks like meeting time.
